Aesthetic & Laser Medicine
Sholema is a physician-led aesthetic and laser clinic with a particular expertise in melanin-rich skin and skin of colour. Our approach is thoughtful and personalised: we assess before we treat, enhance rather than overcorrect, and build treatment plans around your skin, your features and your long-term goals.

About Sholema
Sholema Aesthetic and Laser Clinic was established to close the gap between what is possible in aesthetic medicine and what is actually offered to patients with deeply pigmented skin.
Founded in 2017 by Dr. Osigbeme Awudu, Sholema specializes in the latest aesthetic technology and techniques to find what makes you look and feel beautiful. Our clinics in Ikoyi, Ikeja, Port Harcourt and Uyo share one clinical standard, one set of protocols and one patient record system, so care remains consistent wherever you are seen.
We invest in devices proven safe for Fitzpatrick IV–VI skin and train continuously in their use. Just as importantly, we invest in the unglamorous parts of good care: consultation time, photography, reviews and honest conversations about what a treatment will and will not do.
The measure of good aesthetic medicine is not how different you look. It is that you look like yourself, rested and well.
Who We Are
When you visit Sholema Aesthetic and Laser Clinic, we are committed to providing personalized care to help you achieve your skincare goals and ensure you enjoy long lasting, easily managed results. As a team, we keep updated on best practices, pursue advanced training and remain on top of technological advancements so that we can keep our promise of giving you the best quality of care.
We know the importance of the blend of art and science in aesthetic medicine and have the perfect balance. Our patient-focused and empathic team is focused on enhancing the natural beauty of our patients, empowering them to always put their best face forward.
Our Vision
Our Mission
To maintain an atmosphere of excellent medical and aesthetic care while producing beautiful and natural skin results that improve people’s confidence and life. Our goal is to achieve timelessness and elegance over trends and artificial results.
Our Values
“Our major interest is our patients’ health; both physical and mental. We are therefore more focused on your overall well being than just your physical appearance. At Sholema, beauty is more than skin-deep. We want you to look better, feel better, be healthier and radiate that confidence that can only come from within.”
We respect confidential information entrusted by patients and protect their interests when performing procedures, within and outside the clinic.
We constantly seek to deliver the best treatments possible by keeping up with current medical trends through continued training and education.
We treat all patients with utmost respect and honesty. We are transparent and committed to doing what is best for our patients and our organization.
The safety and overall health of our patients is paramount. We go above and beyond our clinical duty to ensure patient care across all our clinics.
Our Standards
01
No procedure is booked without an assessment. If a treatment is wrong for your skin, we say so.
02
Devices, settings and protocols are chosen for Fitzpatrick IV–VI, with patch testing as standard.
03
Baseline photography, written plans and scheduled reviews at every stage of your programme.
04
We would rather review and add than overtreat. Your expression and your features stay yours.
Start Here
Tell us what you see in the mirror and we will show you the treatments that address it.
Breakouts, congestion and the marks they leave behind.
Easy flushing, persistent redness and acne-like pustules.
Dark marks, melasma and uneven tone.
Patchy colour and texture caused by overproduction of melanin.
Photoaging: pigmentation, redness, broken capillaries and wrinkling.
Buildup of dead skin cells leaving skin rough, tired and less radiant.
Acne scarring, surgical scars and stretch marks.
Raised scars that grow beyond the original injury.
Expression lines and early signs of ageing.
Hollowing, folds and flattening as facial fat and collagen decline.
Loss of firmness on the face and body.
Facial and body hair, ingrown hairs and razor bumps.
Thinning, receding edges and patchy loss on the scalp.
Bacterial, viral, fungal and parasitic skin and nail infections.
Benign raised lesions, common in deeper skin tones.
Several concerns, or none you can name — start with a consultation.
Signature Care
Medical-grade laser for hair reduction, pigment and vascular concerns — calibrated for melanin-rich skin.
Facials, peels and resurfacing built around your skin barrier rather than a fixed menu.
Injectables and regenerative treatments applied conservatively, so expression stays intact.
Body contouring, skin tightening and medical procedures delivered under clinical supervision.
