Skin Concern

Keloids

A keloid is a type of raised scar that grows much larger than the injury that caused it. Keloid-prone skin needs a cautious, medically supervised plan — the wrong treatment can make a keloid worse.

What you may notice

  • Firm raised scar extending past the wound
  • Itching or tenderness
  • Darker or shiny scar surface
  • Recurrence after previous removal

Common causes

  • Acne scars
  • Chickenpox
  • Skin piercing
  • Surgery or injury
  • Genetic keloid tendency

Our approach

  1. 01Medical assessment and history of previous keloids
  2. 02Flatten and soften with in-clinic keloid treatment
  3. 03Laser toning for colour and texture
  4. 04Long-term monitoring to catch recurrence early

Typical timeline · Flattening across several sessions; keloids need ongoing review.
