Overview
Skin tags are soft, skin-coloured growths that hang from the skin on a thin stalk; they are harmless and painless. Dermatosis papulosa nigra (DPN) is a condition common in darker skin, appearing as small dark bumps on the face, neck and upper torso. Both, along with milia and similar benign lesions, are removed in-clinic with fine electrosurgery or laser, chosen for minimal pigmentary disturbance.

Preparation
- Do not pick at the skin tags or DPNs, or attempt home removal
- Avoid applying skincare products or perfume to the areas being treated
- Bring a list of any previous removals
Downtime
No true downtime. A slight surface injury appears on the treated area and heals over the following days; strict SPF until healed.
Expected results
Treated lesions clear in about four to five days once crusts fall away, and skin tags rarely return. New lesions can appear over time as this is often genetic.
