Overview
Nail fungus affects around 10% of adults. It usually starts as a white or yellow spot under the tip of a nail; as it progresses, nails thicken, discolour and crumble at the edges, and it can spread to several nails. Laser therapy is a safe option that effectively kills the fungus using pulses of energy.

The procedure
- 01Consultation, symptom evaluation and explanation of the treatment
- 02A nail sample may be taken for examination if necessary
- 03The foot or hand is cleaned with a sterile solution
- 04Multiple laser passes target the fungal infection
Preparation
- Clip your nails
- Remove all nail products 24 hours before each treatment
Downtime
None — you may return to everyday life immediately after treatment.
Expected results
Improvement from three to four weeks, with significant overall improvement after about three months as the nail grows out.
