Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is a procedure that uses a concentrated beam of light (laser) to remove
unwanted hair. It beams highly concentrated light into hair follicles. Pigment in the follicles
absorb the light that destroys the hair. This damage inhibits or delays future hair growth.
NB: Sometimes, Patients may respond very little or not at all, even if all the settings and
techniques are properly applied, because of insufficient melanin in the hair follicles and
hormonal conditions.

WHEN TO EXPECT RESULTS
*Multiple laser hair removal treatments are needed for initial hair reduction (minimum
of 6 sessions 4 to 6 weeks apart), and maintenance treatments might be needed as well.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR TREATMENT
- Avoid plucking or waxing the area.
- Shave slightly above skin 2-3days before treatment.

- Pregnant Women
- People with certain skin conditions (Active skin Infections)
- People on some certain medications.
EXPECTED OUTCOME - Although laser hair removal effectively delays hair growth for long periods, it is
important to note that it does not result in PERMANENT hair loss.
*Minor redness and swelling may occur after treatment but this resolves in a couple of
hours. Cool compress with Ice and moisturizers are recommended post treatment.
