Keloid Treatment
A Keloid is a hard growth of scar tissue forming around an injury such as a wound, puncture or
burn usually after healing. It can affect any part of the body but is commonly found on the
cheeks, earlobes and shoulders. Keloids are not life threatening but can create concerns for an
individual’s overall appearance

● The treatment begins with a consultation in which the practitioner gives you an insight
of the procedure and also provides answers to all of your concerns
● The treatment area is mapped out and then sterilized
● You might require a skin biopsy to rule out skin cancer.
● A local anesthetic is injected into the keloid after which comes the steroidal injection or
liquid nitrogen as the case may be.
EXPECTED OUTCOME:
You may experience:
● skin thinning
● Pigmentation (hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation)
● Blistering
